I rather suspect the government did not intend this outcome

A legal blogger has made the point that if councils choose to grant fixed term tenancies, following the scrapping of lifetime tenancies, they could avoid selling homes under Right to Buy.

what the fuck

Now, please don’t misunderstand me. I dislike the RTB and would gladly see it abolished. But I rather suspect the government did not intend this outcome.

The argument is based on the fact that tenants must have lived in homes for three years before they qualify to purchase.
