We intend to monitor what the effect on numbers the rollout of Universal Credit has

Universal Credit

From the 23rd November 2015, Universal Credit will be rolled out across Northampton. Universal Credit will incorporate many in and out of work benefits, including Housing Benefit (rent payments). Prior to this, if you were in receipt of Housing Benefit and a social housing tenant, your rent will have been paid directly to your landlord on your behalf.

Under Universal Credit, your rent will be paid directly to you and it will be your responsibility to ensure that your Landlord receives it.
