Northampton Conservative administration decommissions over 600 sheltered housing properties!

Cllr.Mary Markham

At the May 2011 elections the Conservatives took control of Northampton Borough Council. At that time the council had 2,105 properties designated as sheltered housing.

It seems that over 200 of them have already been decommissioned?

At meeting on 3rd February a report to the Tenants’ Panel for information and discussion states that around 1,900 is the current number of properties designated as sheltered housing.

It also proposed that 442 should be decommissioned

SO on the current administrations watch the intention is to decommission over 600 Sheltered Housing properties
