Tribunal tells councils to end tax on empty homes

Housing associations win case against London boroughs charging tax

A tribunal has ordered local authorities to stop charging housing associations thousands of pounds in council tax on empty properties.

 

This is interesting when we consider that Northampton is NOT only charging the tax BUT is charging plus 50% on 163 properties in the borough.
