The “thirteen” Group is a parent company to Housing Hartlepool, Tristar Homes, Erimus Housing, Tees Valley Homes and Thirteen Care and Support formally inaugurated on 1st April 2014 following a merger of Vela and Fabrick Housing Groups creating the largest housing provider across the North East as a 33,000 unit group with a turnover of £155m P/A employing over 1400 staff.
As the Executive Group Director of Property and Lead Director for Housing Hartlepool, I have responsibility for all property related matters with an annual budget of £95m and a staff compliment of over 650 personnel.

Working for Vela as a newly formed group bringing together Tristar Housing and Housing Hartlepool to create a new company providing homes and services to 17,000 homes and residents across the North East, I am responsible for 340 staff, an annual budget of circa £60 million and harmonisation of the two companies Property and Housing related services, influencing a new culture, achieving efficiency and improvements in services to the group’s residents. Currently restricting the department to become a commercial operated, customer focussed service.

The provider of homes and services across one of the most vibrant, affluent and politically sensitive London Borough’s, being Council of the year in 2010. Responsible for Property and Housing related services to the Council’s portfolio of over 18,000 properties including 5,000 leaseholders following the decision to cancel the ALMO and bring the stock back in house as from 1st April 2011. Part of the project group responsible for the £8 billion regeneration of Earls Court
