Apart from the Decent Homes contract we are now told that the Government’s Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) has picked a developer to push forward the Ransome Road site in Far Cotton. The homes will be built by Kier which is also currently building both Northampton’s new bus station and the new student halls of residence in the St John’s area of town.
Kier it would seem are well known to both the Office of Fair Trading and the Information Commissioner’s Office
Kier are definitely also one of firms found to be using the Consulting Association Blacklist when the Consulting Association offices were raided in 2009 by the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Seems that Kier are doing very well in Northampton…. This I believe is the same Kier Group that was slated by the ‘Office of Fair Trading’ and found to have ripped of the public purse via cover pricing?
What is clear is that Kier Regional Limited together with its ultimate parent company Kier Group plc – did and the Office of Fair Trading case resulted in a Penalty payable of £17,894,438
